Air Management
I recommend the following tools to help you manage the indoor air quality (IAQ) in your home. Your skin is your largest organ and is directly impacted by the quality of air in your environment. The topic of filtration can be a polarizing one. Do your research and make the choices available to you that are best for YOU and your family.
“Build tight. VENTILATE right” is a concept that is crucial for healthy IAQ.
Always work with a licensed professional HVAC company to assess your system’s ability to handle increased filtration (recall increased filtration equals increased air restriction, which may overly burden your home’s system). Most HVAC systems cannot handle HEPA filtration, which is why I recommend stand alone units like the AirOasis filter in bedrooms to create you sleep sanctuary. More about that, here and my KPRC feature, here.
I always recommend the FREE STUFF—decluttering. Get rid of it and it won’t restrict airflow, be a place for dust (and all the nasty stuff that comes with dust—dander, skin cells, bacteria, mold spores, dust mites, etc.) .
Each gadget you buy requires maintenance, so don’t buy it unless you pass it through the “Conscious Accumulation Filter”. Read more about that in my article, here.
